A white dress for Babs

Ah it is nice to find some leftover cloth in your drawers. These were some pieces of that thick linnen stuff that doesn’t move at all and the flimsy white cloth that just doesn’t stay in shape at all. Add some Miyuki beads into the mix and you’ve got yourself a dress.

There’s not much to say, I’m not great at sewing. I made all of this simply by holding it up to her and the fixing it. Also the foldover is fixed in place with a few stitches. Now find some shoes to go with that.

Ah it is nice to find some leftover cloth in your drawers. These were some wedges, made a dress once? Not sure.

Now look, if you know how to sew and all that, you would probs use a pattern. In case you didn’t know these patterns exist for Barbie, too. There’s free ones and some you can buy. I didn’t, of course. I just measured her hips with measuring tape and cut and sewed some wedges for a very long skirt (yeah, that’s intentional). I was a bit off and it’s too wide. But it is supposed to be a light summer dress, so oh well.
